Just let it Simmer

“Just let it simmer”, is what Michael would say when he wanted a dramatic pause for applause.

So I have come out of the wood work because I just saw the new Michael Jackson movie, ‘THis is It”.

Over all I thought it was really cool. It’s the most I have ever seen Michael talk, and not just the standard interview answers. We got a glimpse of what he was really like. He is very demanding/perfectionist and a diva! Michael would always tell the person his way, and it was the understanding that it was his way and thats it!

“Just let it simmer”. He would always tell the musicians, so to slow down and let the audience got crazy.

The stage show was going to be amazing and he obviously still had the voice and the moves.

While watching the movie I realized it was the most I had ever seen about MJ. Then as it went on it was sad and creepy all at the same time. Knowing that he was going to be a star again and now no one was going to see all this work that was being put into the show.

It was about 2 hours long, it totally could have been only 1hour and 1/2 and been perfect. I would recommend this film to anybody interested in: MJ , music, the process of putting together such a performance  or just go to see an icon in action!

For those 2 hours I set there and felt like I was watching ‘Michael Jackson’. Not the ‘weird’ freak-o-mongler from the media, but the icon and the legend that is MJ. I hope more people feel this way about him after seeing it.

Who Cares?

The next American Idol no one will care about in 2 months/ dropped from the record label b/c lack of sales/ends up doing Zaxby’s commercials is…….Kris Allen!……who….I don’t CARE!

I watched the last 5 min, when the final 2 sang with Queen and Kris was crowend first loser of American Idol’s 22nd season. And thats all I needed to see.

ok ok!

Thanks to my favorite…..and only commenter Emily (the other half of Esquared) has requested that i post. And I agree. It has been a minute and 1/2.

Today I met the hottest man that I have ever in America (I have a thing for different ethnicity’s). Drum rolllll… Bradley Cooper.

hotttt

OMG. Pull it together, we were so gitty when he was there and for hours after he left.

He was so nice, and in the new movie The Hangover. PS: the movie is sooo funny.

Lily Allen show

Lily Allen was so effing great the other night! OK, i know that I said I want to be BFF with Adele well I really want to be BFFN (Best friends for now) with Lily. I mean the show was so great.

I was such a fun show. She sounded great, she was energitic, she was funny and had great stage presence.

I went not knowing what to expect. I have always liked her, but was not sure what kind of show she was going to put on. Was she going to be falling over drunk/ train-wreck? NO, she wasn’t she was awesome!

In between one of the songs she was like “now i know there is no smoking in here, but I smell some weed”. The people went on to clap and scream and she was like “don’t do that they will find you and you will get in trouble and I don’t want you to get in trouble”. She was very funny and witty.

Great show.

PS: Before hand we had dinner and drinks at The Porter, during the amazingly detailed story about how the Lady GaGa show was amazing and she is apparently the new Madge (according to all the hip gays), Margaret Cho walked by. “OMG that’s Margaret Cho”! I followed her to the ladies room and waited behind her….just to say i did. Totally wearing a gold sequined jacket….like she didn’t want to be noticed. Love her!

Slumdog Millionaire…..Brilliant

slumdog

I just saw Slumdog Millionaire and it was the best all around movie I’ve seen. The storyline, cinematography and the acting all were brilliant. The movie is about destiny, hustling to get by and yes ill say it a good love story. I even produced a small tear and that doesn’t happen very often.

I am not going to tell the deets about the movie b.c you have to go see it. But I am going to say yes that is the Indian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire and that is funny.

Um….A few things on the Grammy’s

First off, what was up with Whitney Houston was she eff’d up when she gave out the first award to J. Hud. I mean she tried to show some leg and got no reaction, then the way she was speaking. love it.

2nd – Why was kid rock there. I mean really, why, what has he done the past year besides get arrested at Waffle House.

3rd – Did not totally hate the Miley Cyrus – Taylor Swift duet. In fact, I kinda liked it….just a lil

4th – love J Hud. If J hud and you were in a burning house and I could only save one of you,….it would be J hud. Sorry that’s just the way it is.

5th – I’m officially 14 again. I begining to see myself liking the Jonas Bros

Snore

Will.i.am your song is bor.a.snore.ing.

This just sounds like a church song gone bad,.. wait aren’t most church songs… And the fact that Bono is it does not help the cause.

The Neighborhood ball

first-danceSo many stars have been involved in all the hype, balls and rando shit going on for the inauguration and it’s so great to watch. Ok let’s get to it… Beyonce looked great as she fought back tears to sing Etta James’s “At Last” for Michelle and Barack’s first dance.

Then the whole crew got together to sing with Stevie Wonder…um lets just say it was very interesting..

1) Why does Sting look like he just crawled out of a cave. Although, he is able to have sexy times for loooong periods of time, maybe….nah. APTOPIX Obama Inauguration

2) Love Shakira….but did not sound good with anyone

3) Mariah looked strung out and had to look at the teleprompter for the words of Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours. Real talk, I knew all the words that song when I was 8.

4) Loved how Stevie Wonder says “Stiii-Iiiee-IIiiiII-gg”

5) I wish I was there.

Obama Inauguration BidenJoe and Jill looked great when they came out for their dance. Joe is a nice looking older gentleman….hmmmm, I think if I was a couple years older…

Loved seeing Faith Hill, Obama Inauguration Neighborhood Ballif you can recall she was a major Bush supporter…the old pressy sicko’s.

Hova said it best

Jay Z did a remix of Jeezy’s “My president is black” and its H-O-T

What a day….

I have never felt so excited about politics and a president in my life! I never cared about the speaches or feeling apart of  all the “action” going on. Today I did.

When I think of Michelle I totally feel like I could run into her at the Publix down the street. I just feel like they are so normal, like me (0k I’m not that normal) and I can relate to them. This is one of those days that I will never forget where I was, the details and what it felt like to truly experience history.

obama

excited, optimistic, hopeful about the future.

In the words of Ice Cube “today was a good day”

side note: I hope they had heaters on the ground b/c Michelle’s legs had to be cold. Girl looked great in that dress though.
